Isaac and Melissa, along with their daughters Molly and Layla, moved to Franklin in 2009. Their journey soon intertwined with their faith as they joined Temple Etz Chaim in 2013, marking the beginning of a deeper connection to their religious community. Their eldest daughter, Molly, began her religious education around this time, prompting Isaac to become involved in teaching at the temple. Initially teaching sixth and seventh graders, Isaac's commitment to education extended to younger grades as well, demonstrating his dedication to fostering the spiritual growth of the community's youth.Isaac's involvement didn't stop there; he also assumed the role of Temple Webmaster, a position that evolved to include unofficial IT support during the challenging transition to new technological platforms necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. As the temple adapted to remote gatherings and online services, Isaac played a crucial role in facilitating the community's continued connection and participation. He joined the Board in 2020 and still serves. His daughters will snicker as he occasionally still must turn around on Washington Street ... driving past the charter school on auto-pilot to the Temple building.
